Jump! Jump! Everybody Jump!

Last night I reserved a tumbling gym in Provo for a group of us to play at. There were trampolines, a foam pit, sumo suits, and lots of fun. Here are some pictures and an awesome video Dustin made of us jumping around.

Kiss Me I'm Irish

I love to celebrate holidays and I have always loved St. Patrick's Day. It brings me back to my roots :) So this last St. Patty's Day we had a little dinner and game night with our friends next door. I attempted to make as much green food as I could. I didn't make corned beef and cabbage because nobody who was there that night would have eaten it. I would have loved to try making it to say I made it on that day but what's the point? So I made green mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, beer-battered broccoli...(I will share the story about that later...), a green lime soda punch, green ice cream jello, and some very pretty cupcakes which we all decorated according to the holiday. So here are a few pictures from the night.

And here is the result of making beer-battered broccoli... Dustin so kindly decided to step in and help while I was making some of the "green" food and helped out with the broccoli... While he was putting in some broccoli into the boiling oil a piece slipped out of the tongs and it splattered all over Dustin's wrist and onto my arm as I was standing right next to him. We both screamed, making Sierra scream who was sitting next to me... It was not fun.
And now this is what Dustin's hand looks like now. It is going to be awhile before it's completely healed. Mine is doing a lot better thanks to lavender everyday.

Love Day/Dustin's Birthday

Last month for Dustin's birthday and for Valentines Day I surprised Dustin by booking a room at Hotel Monaco for the weekend. It is kind of hard on that day to make plans haha. We both want to plan something on that day for each other for the official love day, but it can never be a day for just Dustin because it is his birthday as well. So I tried to do both buy making it a surprise for him but something that I would enjoy as well. It was a very fun hotel. The inside was decorated very unique compared to most places. Very eclectic. Since it was Sunday I decided to bring food to the hotel so we wouldn't have to go out. So.... I snuck my slow cooker inside and made a yummy dinner in our room.
The previous night we did go out to dinner to a place Dustin surprised me, Kyoto. I honestly am not a big fan of Japanese food but this place was really good. If you ever go there get their tempura shrimp. A-MAZE-ing! I felt like I was in Japan. Our waitress was dressed in a kimono and our tables were low to the ground so we were almost on the floor.
It was a fun weekend and when we came home I was surprised with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers that Dustin got for me and some yummy chocolates!

This is our little guppy fish that comes with the room haha. SO random...
