Topsy Turvy

So living down in a basement we don't really get to grow anything or have a yard to plant things. It's bummed me out because I have always wanted a garden because I am not a huge fan of the store's produce selection out here in Utah. So I would rather grow my own. So when Dustin and I were making one of our weekly trips to Home Depot we saw this section for "Topsy Turvy" plants As Seen on TV. I got really excited because there was a way I could grow stuff without having a porch or yard. I can't grow as much as I would like but this is a start. You can grow a few different types of plants if you want so I have tomatoes, basil and parsley so far. I might put something else in there.

We have it hanging by our front door above the stairs and it is already growing so fast! The inside is kind of like a greenhouse so that helps the herbs grow faster.

I'm excited!

What the snow?!

So this year has been abnormally strange with the weather hear in Utah... Normally in the summer it is super hot which I love, especially after being in the cold, snowy, raininess for like 6 months. But THIS year... No no no... It is still during the end of May, not hot, rainy and not bathing suit worthy.

Today, it snowed and as you can see in this photo, I'm confused. I try to be positive about rain because my dad says it is good to be grateful that the rain is replenishing the earth and stuff like that.. But there comes a point... when it has to stop.
