Back to school...

So far this semester I have felt pretty good about my classes and my teachers as well. One of my classes (math) I finally have a good teacher that is good for me. Math is definately not my best subject and I still have a while to go on that. It helps to finally have found a good teacher for it. I am also taking a Health & Wellness class, Human Development and Interior Design which is my absolute favorite. I actually get excited to do homework for that class.
With working full time at the apartment complex and full time school our schedules are quite busy. Always doing work, school, homework or sleeping...
And speaking of sleeping... My school schedule is spread out everyday Monday through Friday so it is not so overwelming. Dustin on the other hand has full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting class at 7:30am and ending at 7pm. He comes home exhausted on those days. And he always ends up in the same place resulting in a conked out nap....

This one below is my favorite haha!

Here he is hugging a bundle of blankets. So cute.

These are just a couple of my favorites. I thought this was hilarious so I had to share. Its a busy semester but I think it is healthy to be busy sometimes. It keeps me focused.

Camping in Midway

Over Labor Day weekend we went camping out in Midway with some of our friends spontaneously. In fact, it was so spontaneous that we forgot a few items that made our night interesting....
We forgot sleeping pads...it was a rock hard night
and I forgot my pillow, so I shared with Dustin. Here is Jelina curling into a ball on the comfy hard floor of our tent...We brought a bunch of Stag Chili cans for dinner but didn't really think through how we would cook it. So we just put them in the fire and luckily the opener had a little handle because we didn't bring can openers. It was actually very scrumptious! I love Stag.Grab a spoon and dig in!We don't have a picture but along with a the chili we had corn on the cobs...but we forgot foil to wrap them when we put them in the fire. So Dustin found a big flat rock he put in the middle of the fire and put the corn on it. They got quite black haha! Luckily we had butter and salt we could put on them to distract us from tasting the black all over the corn.

We didn't bring small sticks or wood so here are the boys being men.
They were taking too long so Emily showed them up lol!
We forgot to give directions to our other friends coming later and....we had no service. Here is Sierra trying to make a phone call but failing with a smile.
Akio and Heather sharing warmth because we forgot how cold it was up in the mountains...

Later we had s'mores and forgot things to roast marshmellows with so Akio (Heather's boy), found a stick and pounded some of our extra tent stakes into the stick so we could roast 3 at a time. Haha!

It was a hilarious camping trip to say the least and we all had a blast.

My Sistas Next Door

So last month my sister Jelina and my best friend Sierra LaDow moved out here to go to school. Luckily for me they moved into our complex that we manage and so they are literally 10 steps away. It is nice to have friends and my sister so close. Jelina is bascially my only relative out here now. Finally a family member I can see more than every 6 months!
We have been having fun going out and doing stuff together, helping them get settled and just enjoying having more girl time.. It has been hard for me having friends and family in California and not being able to see them at all. Sometimes holidays are just not enough. Not to mention Dustin and I have to share holidays with different families just like many other married couples. So here is just a couple random pictures of a few of our hangouts so far.

Here is a pic of Sierra and I playin' UNO Attack with everyone.Scoot scoot! Ha. I took Jelina and Sierra's younger sister Kashia for a little scooter ride. Kashia was laughing realy hard. Dustin and I at the gateway with the girls.
We went to the new Pirate Island restaurant in Orem. It almost felt like Disneyland with all the decorations, waiters dressed like pirates and it looked like true pirateville in there. Yummy, cheap food with a fabulous impersonator of Capt. Jack Sparrow. He sounded just like him!

We went with a big group of people to Provo canyon to play an outside laser game. It's way more fun than playing it inside. The company comes to you to an outdoor place with lots of hiding places and they provide all the guns/equipment. They make it feel like the real thing by playing the part. We had a lot of fun!
