Camping in Midway

Over Labor Day weekend we went camping out in Midway with some of our friends spontaneously. In fact, it was so spontaneous that we forgot a few items that made our night interesting....
We forgot sleeping pads...it was a rock hard night
and I forgot my pillow, so I shared with Dustin. Here is Jelina curling into a ball on the comfy hard floor of our tent...We brought a bunch of Stag Chili cans for dinner but didn't really think through how we would cook it. So we just put them in the fire and luckily the opener had a little handle because we didn't bring can openers. It was actually very scrumptious! I love Stag.Grab a spoon and dig in!We don't have a picture but along with a the chili we had corn on the cobs...but we forgot foil to wrap them when we put them in the fire. So Dustin found a big flat rock he put in the middle of the fire and put the corn on it. They got quite black haha! Luckily we had butter and salt we could put on them to distract us from tasting the black all over the corn.

We didn't bring small sticks or wood so here are the boys being men.
They were taking too long so Emily showed them up lol!
We forgot to give directions to our other friends coming later and....we had no service. Here is Sierra trying to make a phone call but failing with a smile.
Akio and Heather sharing warmth because we forgot how cold it was up in the mountains...

Later we had s'mores and forgot things to roast marshmellows with so Akio (Heather's boy), found a stick and pounded some of our extra tent stakes into the stick so we could roast 3 at a time. Haha!

It was a hilarious camping trip to say the least and we all had a blast.
